Last night, it was a friend's birthday and we came back to "Open Up Restaurant". The food is just great and cheap. One may find a hard time finding it though. But since we know the owner, the mother of a former student, we just call them and they talk to the taxi driver how to get there. The service is great. Last time when we were there was my sister's birthday and I ordered in advance. They got us a free fruit dessert then. Free is nice.

Everyone was there with four more additional not so familiar faces from the group's usual outing. This restaurant has a karaoke stage. Of course me and my sister sing as usual. It just sucks sometimes that its just us singing. It'd be nice if they take the mic from time to time and have fun and give fun! I think me and my sister only singing isn't fun. They become serious listening to us and that is certainly the contrary to fun!

We wanted to go disco, but none of us is really a pub person and nobody knows where to go. This usually happens to us. We ended up going home. We said next brithday we will go disco. Goodluck to us with that!

We ha a long holiday since Friday till Tuesday this week. It was to celebrate the 60th year reign of the King of Thailand.

Last Sunday, I invited Ping and Tang to go back to Chinatown and bring Micci and Bing Bing there. They liked dimsum and shopping and they would want to go back there this Sunday. While Micci and Bing bing were shopping for accessories, I was looking for hardware stuffs. I bought me a hammer, a knife, peeler (pambalat), sewing kit and some easy to hook on the wall thingies. It turned out the hammer is not much help. I need a drill.

After Chinatown we went to Wat Po, where the reclining Buddha is. Finally. We wanted to go to Wat Phra Kaew (Grand Palace), but it was closed. Next long weekend again.

The trip to Laos was unexpected. Mishelle was supposed to go there without me. Simply submit her papers in the morning and get her non-b visa in the afternoon. Ill just wait at Mukdahan, port going to Laos. Later at lunch she phoned me, asking me to come to Laos because she needed to stay over night as the consul didn't accept her papers and was told to come back in the morning.

So I came to Laos to accompany her. We found a guest house, at about 200B airconditioned room. It wasnt bad at all. It has got two beds and a bathroom. We then realized the situation that we dont have anything with us. No dress, no toothbrush, toothpaste, undies (nasty.. :P) just ourselves! So we went out and find shops and buy some necessary things needed. We bought the panties for about 7000 Kip (laos money). Wow! We were rich! 30B lang. hehehe.. And imagine us, wearing the same clothes for two days and a night. Twas a fun trip.. We saw things we never saw before. naks. They made tubo(sugar cane) juice. They had an extractor for the juice and you can buy it for 5B, and the one i liked was the taho juice. It was taho alright, but it was ice-cold. We rented a motorcycle for 200B 7 hours. So we were able to drive through town. We had our meals at the same restaurant. No 7-11 there. We stopped at a church to thank Him we were still safe. There was nothing much to see. Savannakhet Laos is a rural area.

Would I wanna go back there again? Yes, for shopping at duty free. Drinks, cigars and perfumes were cheap there. Plus my co-teacher said they have beautiful falls.

Dimsums. Cheap and delicious at 15 baht per serve. The Canton House serves varieties of steamed and fried crabs, shrimp, pork, etc.

Got help from a motorcycle driver through a thai teacher because the hand clutch isn't working properly. It was hard to put in neutral. There was a missing screw so they had to buy a new one. I need to learn these things, but not anytime soon muna. I refuse to do mechanical things for the mean time. :P

Last day of teaching today.. Next week, students will have their final examinations.

Today I gave the final test in mathematics intensive for second year and third year.

This morning, while third year students are having the test, i told them anyone who can perfect the test, ill buy them swensen ice cream. Hehe.. Lima!! Lima ang nakaperfect!!
Damn. Napasubo ako. hehe..

This afternoon in second year test, after students finished taking the test, i check the papers right away:

student 1: (passed his test, i checked.. zero)

student 1: ooooo... i failed again.. (he was speaking in thai, shaking his head in disappointment)

student 2: how much did you get? (he asked student 1)
student 1: i got zero.
student 2: okay.. ill pass my paper too. (he breathe deeply but did not give his paper to me. earlier, he asked me, if there is a possibility that he can pass the test. i told him, of course..)

student 2: aah.. shella, you dont need to check this. you can recycle it if you want. (i laughed hard, as his other classmate was teasing him giving student 2's test so i can check it. i checked it anyway, and he got zero..)

student 2: see, i told you youll just waste your ink.

lala: thats alright.. Ill give retest on tuesday, 'study okay..

Semester is almost over. This is what weve been doing in my third year mathematics class. taking pictures..

No more palpitatons.. Apparently I just lack of blood/oxygen in my body.. I hope nothing serious than this.. Coz i didnt see the doctor.. SO I took those ferrous sulfate and iron vitamins. Two tablets at night. Hala, tulog ng tulog. Wala naman daw overdose sa vitamins kaya okay lang..

Heart palpitation.. have i got heart problems?.. is it serious?.. I dunno..

But lately, im having irregular heart beats. faster than the usual and i can hear them beat.. sometimes it hurts and it doesnt let me sleep.. so one shot of whisky always help..

Causes of this are stress, anxiety, anemia.. etc..

I have history of anemia. so im taking those iron vitamins again.. and might consider vitamin c's also.. i hate taking these things.. lazy to take them.. if someone will hand it to me, ill take them.. but of course, if its alarming, i dont have any choice but take them by myself..

NEW HAIRCUT..

I'm having occasional migraines lately.. strange kasi, its not hot, im not even hungry.. i just have them.. most probably the pill's side effects.. was having one of them last saturday, so i said lets go get a hair cut.. did i feel better?. for a while..

i had my three minutes of fame last night at an italian restaurant. Cooooool!!! I had about 20 audience including the staff-cook,cashier,waiters. hehehe.. The band playing there were filipinos who has been singing for five years there. Ate blandee approached our table recognizing us as filipinos.

Blandee: "Pinoy?"

later we found out were all from mindanao. Shes from cagayan and she speaks cebuano. Then chika chika.
Then i asked

tama nga sila.. isang linggo lang tatagal yung malamig na klima.. malamig pa rin.. pero di na masyadong masaya..
mainit na actually.. i started to have migraine since saturday afternoon.. drank a little alcohol to help me sleep but it didnt help. i had to force myself to vomit so i can bring out everything i consumed because we planned to watch harry potter that night.. so i did.. so we did..

last friday night, me and my cousin met at big c ratchadamri. i dont know how to go to her place kasi we always go there by taxi. i dont know how to go there by bus.. so i told her fetch me at big c. We cant take the taxi kasi were both short of money. we ate dinner happily together sa labas ng mall.. where interesting not so bad foods, which i may say delicious actually, ang siniserve. sticky rice and prok and atay barbeque.

Lala: order lang ta pepsi, kay kahuluya. hehehe.
Then came the waitress to our table with our orders and a plate of raw cabbage and balatong..

smile: did you order the vegies?.

lala: i didnt. why?

smile: basi bayaran ta na ha!!

hehehe.. we were cautious mahirap na baka mashort kami, maglakad na lang kami pauwi..
while eating we saw this girl eat the balatong raw. like bread stick!! wow!! i mean.. yaiks.. ano kaya lasa nun?

Anyway, we had to meet kasi, shilfa, her co-teacher has a problem with her computer. I'll fix it.. We were hoping we could fix it, so i can get paid, then we can have money..

Pagdating kila shilfa, nice house.. shes indian.. indians are better paid than filipinos here. shes my age. shes divorced. buti pa siya.. divorced na.. ay!! sorry.. nakasal na..

Shilfa told my cousin: my mom has been calling dad in india since my pc broke down. she has to come here.. or else ill send her my telephone bill!! (cute eh)

To cut the story short.. i was able to fix the pc.. and we got thank you from shilfa and her mom. oh wait.. we got paid.. hehehe..

smile: may mi torasab. (my cousin said.. she doesnt have a phone)
what?!!! i have a phone!! hehe. anyway, the guy went away..

Malamig na po dito ngayon.. malakas ang simoy ng hangin sa umaga.. may araw ngunit malamig.. kasi nga may hangin na nagboblow.. winter na ibig sabihin.. sa umaga bandang alas singko, paglabas mo sa bahay, malakas ang hangin (ulit) at medyo madilim pa. meron pang moon. ang ganda..

kaya lang sabi nila isang linggo lang daw ito tatagal.. tapos iinit na rin.. sana naman hindi..

Its been raining three consecutive days in bangkok. Sarap maligo, but haven't got the chance because im at school when it pours. I would love to make ligo in the rain when im driving. itd be nice. kaya lang mababasa ang aking damit, and it will reveal my sexy body.. naks. hehehe..

When i went home, my cousin was told she was malnourished, that would make me a skeleton! We just told them, thats the body built of thais. I had reduced my food intake and still not go hungry. I still feel healthy. I realized i really was small when i saw my friends and hear their comments. "Payat sa imo la"... Didnt bother me. But while i was there all i did was eat, and eat and eat. I was taking my vitamins and that gave me appetite to eat. One meal to another. Kakakain lang, kakain na naman with mga friends dito and friends doon..

Tacurong City as i noticed has become a bbq town. Everywhere you go there is a bbq place. It has a potential to be known as the bbq capital of the Philippines (as micci my friend was telling me, while they show me all bbq place.) hehehe. It has also developed into a bar town. No illegal things of course. They got live bands and discos. So almost every night I was out with my friends and was having fun.. It was a good holiday. Looking forward to coming back.

One famous big hit telvision show today over there is pinoy big brother. This show i get to watch when i dont go out with friends with my mom. Its fairly nice show. You get to laugh, cry and get angry once in a while.

im back in the land of smiles after an almost month vacation in tacurong city. im riding my bike again, im teaching again.. sadya lang..

The camp was a success. I think the students enjoyed it. I did. I was able to do what i had to do there aside from working. There was a pool, i swam. There was a falls, me and orlando climb it. It was not so perfect but it was beautiful being there, the cold water and the big stones. :D

The school is having an English Camp for three days in Wangree Resort at Nakhon Nayok province. I have seen pictures of the place and it was nice. I was told the food is excellent!! So this camp should be a wonderful experience! I hope..

We're supposed to leave at 8:00 o'clock. Its already 9:00 o'clock.. Thai time.. almost like Filipino time..

I just turned 25 yesterday. From the moment 12 am started, i felt older for the first time in my life. My previous birthday celebration, it was all about fun fun fun. But that moment was different. I was 25, tears of everything was in my eyes..(really!???!!!) Old would mean recogzing seriousness to my responsibilities i guess. Less party, less drinks, and less dates. As if i have these things!! For a change maybe i will now. Like joe said, "youre young baby, enjoy". But wait.. isnt partying and drinking bad?!! Gosh, back to being rational again. Goodluck na lang siguro..

The doctor said, i may have gotten tired of what i was eating, thats why my appetite changed. There was one time at lunch, when i only had a scoop of ice cream and a small hamburger from the canteen. I invited two students to join me so i might enjoy it. I did. But it was really strange that it was enough for my lunch. Its not lunch!! its snack!!!

It was alarming. It is alarming. My sister saw me in the webcam and she told me that i am very skinny.

So I started cooking again and take vitamins. My last lunch was better. I was able to finish one bowl of noodles. Now, I am starving again. Yey!!! I'll have mcflurry later.

I'll go mobile hunting too. I lost my phone again!!! Well it doesnt happen to me only. What a relief eh. hehehe. Martin has lost 7 phones within 5 years.

We're talking about the wedding now.. The motiff is pale yellow. At first my sister wanted moss green and pink.. and i said to her. what the?!! are you sure?!! why?!! after some talks and a few days, she changed her mind.. thank God!! I like yellow. I would want yellow for my wedding too.

Ill handle the wedding the cake. And I'll help with the tokens too.

Next week, three days lang matudlo kay sa thursday may ara na naman bisita from the ministry of education. then friday, malakat kami sa ayuttaya for two days for a seminar.

This is singing-test week for my students. I taught them the famous do-re-mi song soundtrack from the sound of music movie. Five students in one group. There was one group this morning, that made me laugh. They were the only group so far, that were dancing with the song with no shame!, while the rest of the class is laughing at them enjoying the show.. And they were all boys. Cute handsome little boys. hehehe. Gave them the highest score of course.

I hope one of my friends will learn how to drive that motorbike. I dont know how it feels like to ride in the highway!! Will i ever backseat drive, if Orlan will drive or my sister or cousins?

I need to get gloves also for driving, and tools!! The other day the basket in front of the motorcycle almost fell off. The screws got loose, and i dont have anything to fix it!! We used our finger nails then. Tsk.tsk..

Of course there are also bad times here in Bangkok, but the good things are too good I guess, it helps me forget the bad things in life.

Life here will not be so good when:
a.) you ran out of money (you can't do the things i said in my last blog. But these are the times when we are laughing the most. Laughing at our misfortunes that is..:-D )

b.) you don't have a lovelife, or you are away from your lovelife (but then again, ate mia said, alai ka dai..it all depends on you.. It isnt just as happy as compared to having your love beside you or at least near you to call and check on you from time to time, hold each others hands and stuffs.. )

c.) you get tired of the meals you eat. (chicken and egg is always a safe choice.. and i dont want it sometimes, but its the only thing i can eat at the canteen during lunch!! If not, i go outside and have some noodles.)

d.) you realize that your everyday has become a routine. (This happened to me last week. AAAAAAH!! It almost made me crazy!! Migraine, depression, terrible sadness, i didnt want it, but i cant help it. it was a torment..)

Living life in abroad is fun for me. Maybe not all OFWs will agree, but I bet, those who are here in Bangkok will. Most of us here are teachers, if not they are singers and in IT business. Teachers only work on weekdays, some have extra classes on weekends, which means extra pay also. On weekends, you can either choose to stay at home, go to the movies, unwind in the park, shop or window shop, go swimming, go to an internet cafe to talk to your friends and families, visit your friends, eat and eat and eat. Thai people like to invite foreigners also.. either to have dinner with them or go with them in their provinces, maybe because, they want to learn english, but i think its more of because they are genuinely hospitable and kind. They are always willing to help. Like, they let you get away when you'll have traffic violations!!!

As I always say to my friends. Bangkok is just like Manila. Just a little better. In terms of the environment, people and the government. Still, theres no place like home. Thats why I am thrilled to go home on october!!!My sister is getting married!! Awwwww...

I think.. single or married, gay or lesbian, a chicken or a duck you are.. masaya.. it all depends if your contented. if your not then you have a problem..

I am contented.. i am a hmmm..lesbian...gay...konfyu lew!!... :D I believe that there are always reason for everyone to be happy even if all things seems going downhill. God gives us problems yes.. but He sure never ceases to give us blessings as well.

Passionate kiss maybe connoted with torrid kiss like making love to having sex but for me they have differences. I'll tell you when we'll talk.

I haven't met the guy yet, haven't even talked to him. I figured he might be scared calling me because of the language problem. Plus, they said hes still busy. Why is everybody busy???!! and I am not!! Damn.. I need extra work. I have spare time at night.. Maybe I'll take that job in Soi Nana eh..

the marriage thing was just a fuzz.. there was this guy who wanted to meet me when he saw my picture. and the story was.. he was the only one in his family whos left single.. he has his own business, hes single and hes single.. so the first question that came into my mind is. he wants to get married?!!!

I am not sure if i want to meet this guy..the words single and marriage scares me i guess... but it wont hurt if i would.. so i might..

---- I have experienced for the first time in 24 years of my existence, the so called.. LBM.. harharhar. I thought it'd be exciting. I was handling it smoothly. I even came to school, but had to go home early because i was feeling so uneasy. I was weak on my knees and kinda trembling. I have never eaten that much banana in my life!!!

---- Some time around 10:30 pm, we saw two men on the road. One man's bone in his leg was broken, protruding from the skin. awww.. there were also blood on his face. He was struggling crawling crying in pain. The other man wasn't moving at all. Looked like he was dead already. Then from a distance is the motorbike. I figured the motorcycle driver was drunk hitting the man who maybe was about to cross the street. There were people around, just watching the scene. I hope that time, somebody has phoned an ambulance already. It was terrible. Now i am more careful in driving. Anticipating the accident is one thing, the accident happening is another thing. gosh..

earlier this night.. played arcade at central city. the virtua cop.. i was looking for the police trainer but they didn't have it. these are the games we play back during college and also photohunt.. Damn they cost high.. 20B per game!!

The advantage of driving a motorcycle in bangkok is that I am able to get away from traffic. While vehicles are on halt, I can continue to drive through since there are always spaces betweem them. The space is just enough for a motorcycle to get through. So one cannot really speed up. While other drivers run at about 50 - 60 kph, i ran at only 20-40 kph. I think i can do what they can, but i dont want to risk it. I really dont want to have an accident here.

Everytime I drive my bike, i always think of the possiblities of me having an accident like, blag!!.. screeeeeech....... nnnnggewwwww... ooops.... wooh!!!..sh*t!!(this is when theres a police ahead..:D) so that when it'll happen i wont be that worried or surprised anymore.. Anticipating ahead..

So far no accidents yet. Orlan has learned not to bakseat drive anymore so we're safe whenever he's riding with me. My sis Ging Ging turns into a stone, as i can feel her hand holding tight to my shoulders. They aint talking sometimes when were on the highway. harhar..

My cousin will have a blessing party for her apartment tonight. We're all going there. I cooked adobo for the occassion. Damn.. I should be thankful that I can cook.. but.. haaay.. wala raw kwenta.. ;-)

some time last week around 8pm, i needed to take a u-turn bridge so i can cross the street. The one i usually take will take me about 5 minute drive to get there.. then i saw a new one. or at least i thought it was a u-turn bridge. for a moment i was sure about it. so i took it. Only to find out, when i reached the top, that it is was an expressway.. I thought.. oh my.. this is the way the buses take going to Rayong!!! Theres no way for me to cross the street or to make a u-turn kasi may harang sa gitna.. Vehicles were speeding fast of course. What did I do?.. Of course.. balik... counterflow.. salubong ko mga bus and cars speeding.. telling myself.. be safe.. be safe.. whew!! So therefore i conclude. hehehe.. learn from experience.. ill never drive that way again..

Motorcycles are not allowed on expressways..

I was sad today..i dunno why... students even noticed it too.. tapos I didnt have my dose of laughter pa.. Danny's gone for good. Joe went to Penang to get his non immigrant visa, while Jack was busy with i dunno.. Steve as usual had his own world.. We haven't met Danny's replacement yet. I hope he's cool to talk to din.

I taught a number of school staffs and teachers today: English conversation. Its kinda flattering that they want me to teach them again tomorrow. Who can say no to that. Foreigner teachers should take turns in teaching them.

Subukan mong magluto ulit. ilang week ka na ring di nagluluto. sa pagtuturo ka lamang bumawi. naging masaya ka at nakalimutan mo ang mga worries mo nang makasama mo mga bata. Next week, three days lang matudlo kay sa thursday may ara na naman bisita from the ministry of education. then friday, malakat kami sa ayuttaya for two days for a seminar.
